1. Discite [“learn”]: 1st et 2nd conjugation of verbs (for charts in PDF format, go here)

Endings: o, s, t, mus, tis, nt

1st conjugation verbs have an A in the stem (but note the 1st person singular “I” form–amo)

2nd conjugation verbs have an E in the stem (but note the 1st pers. sg. “I” form–video)


2. Discite: A mnemonic to learn the endings:  OST MUST ISNT


3.  Discite: The present imperative ama/amate (love!) et vide/videte (see!)


4. Discite: Nova verba (p. 6). What are some cognates for each word?
