Read (1) ch 6, “Religion and Ritual” (pp. 134-167; the rest of the chapter will be assigned for homework over the weekend, so you can also just read all the way to p. 196). Also read these articles mentioned in class: World’s oldest submerged town in Pavlopetri, off the southern Laconia coast of Greece—dates back 5000 years.
